My name is Jenny Petala. I am a General Practitioner specializing in Medical Acupuncture and holistic healthcare. I studied Medicine and Physiotherapy in Thessaloniki and received training in medical acupuncture in Greece and abroad.

I believe in the body’s natural ability to self-regulate and heal. In my daily clinical practice, I combine conventional medicine with medical acupuncture, offering
personalized and meaningful health solutions for the modern individual.

In 2014, I founded Lotus Medic, which consists of two specialized acupuncture clinics: one in Western Thessaloniki (Ilioupoli) and one in the city center (Ladadika).

Together with my interdisciplinary team —a psychologist, a nutritionist, and a nurse— we design personalized treatment protocols, aiming to improve health indicators with
the lowest possible chemical footprint on the body.

At Lotus Medic – Central (Ladadika), a specialized acupuncture service is offered as an adjunctive therapy for assisted reproduction (IVF / IUI), supporting women and couples from Greece and abroad.

A few words about my studies

I studied Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and I am also a graduate of the School of Physiotherapy of the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. In my early professional career, I worked in both the private and public sectors (IKA Second Physiotherapy Center), and I served as a physician at the Rural Medical Clinic of Evzones and at Goumenissa Hospital.

I obtained my specialty in General Practice at AHEPA University Hospital after four years of training. In parallel, I received training in Emergency Prehospital Medicine (EKAB) and completed postgraduate studies entitled “Medical Research and Methodology” at the School of Medicine of Thessaloniki (Department of Social Medicine). I was also trained on a scholarship at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden in neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, within the Erasmus program.

My passion for continuous learning led me to complete a doctoral dissertation on neck pain (cervicalgia), earning the title of Doctor of Medicine from the School of Medicine of Thessaloniki (Department of Physiology) – PhD. I have also specialized in Medical Acupuncture, completing a two-year training program at the Hellenic Medical Acupuncture Society, a member of the internationally recognized ICMART. I have undertaken numerous training programs in acupuncture in Italy and England.
